Splendors of the Baroque Mandolin


A musical journey through the capitals of the “Europe galante”

This one-hour concert will take the audience on a musical journey through european capitals in the 18th century (Rome, Paris, Venice, Madrid), in order to discover some of the most important and fascinating pages ever written for mandolin.

Program: Works by Antonio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741), Domenico Scarlatti (1685 – 1757), Giovanni Battista Gervasio (18th century), Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725), Roberto Valentini (c. 1674-1747), Pietro Giuseppe Gaetano Boni (1st half of the 18th century)
